  Kickboxing Courses  
 

 

My personally designed boxing and kickboxing course is directed at personal trainers.

The course provides stucture and progressions to be used in personal training sessions. I am an ABA Qualified Boxing Coach as well as being a former internationally ranked amateur kickboxer.

I have travelled around the UK presenting and lecturing to groups of personal trainers in health clubs and gyms on a monthly basis from July 2004, typically averaging 14 people per course.

The course has proved to be hugely successful with personal trainers in terms of proggression, revenue and member retention as the popularity of this type of training continues to grow. The course is split into two sections:

THEORY:

  • Functional fitness for boxing / kickboxing
  • Integrating boxing / kickboxing into personal training sessions
  • How to progress the client's fitness using this style of training

PRACTICAL:

  • Correct stance and gaurd
  • Different types of pads to use
  • How to guide a client through a boxing workout
  • Foot movement (moving forward, back, side shuffle and multidirectional pivots)
  • Jabs, crosses, hooks, upper cuts, elbow strikes and kicks
  • Devising punching and elbow combinations for you client, simple through to advanced
  • Monitoring length and duration of rounds
